In 2022, Promote the Vote partnered with more than 30 organizations to propose and pass Proposal 2 of 2022 which amended the Michigan Constitution to expand access to voting and increase voting rights and options, for example:
- early in person voting in federal and state elections,
- the right to join a permanent absentee ballot list,
- more drop-boxes in many communities
- free postage to return absentee ballots by mail
- allowing additional types of ID, or an identification affidavit m order to vote
- charging certain state agencies with providing assistance to voters
- allowing rides to the polls
